Meet The Trainers

Linda Brodzik has over 30 years of training experience and continued education in the science of behavior and animal training. She has studied with many top dog and animal trainers, animal behaviorists and veterinarians  in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom and from around the world, and has attended classes through the Life Learn Program at the Ontario Veterinary Collage, University at Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Today she still continues to attend classes, clinics and workshops to ensure she stays attentive to the most current knowledge in the science of behavior and teaching. This past summer Linda completed an advanced animal trainers course at the world renowned Shedd Aquarium in Chicago with fellow students from the US and around the world.

Linda’s main interest as a trainer concerns temperament, relationship and behavior issues in dogs. Her analytical mind and ability to focus on great detail are strong assets when evaluating canine temperament and behavior issues and in setting forth a comprehensive and well-structured dog training program.

In addition to having her writing and articles published in numerous trade magazines, Linda has appeared on radio and television programs dealing with dog behavior and training issues. She lectures to both owners and other pet professionals including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, rescue groups and breeders.

When Linda is not working to assist her clients and their animal companions, she takes pleasure in spending time outdoors, hiking in the wilderness, biking, kayaking and practicing archery. She also enjoys being creative through writing and artistic ventures.  Linda shares her home with her Bullmastiff, Elsa,  two Sun Conures, Kellyn and Jonah and Darwin her  Sulcata Tortoise. All of Linda’s animal companions (including Darwin) enjoy daily training sessions that serve to increase communication and bonding.

Sue Coller is a pastor and spiritual director as well as a trainer of dogs.  For 20 years she has helped people find meaning and purpose in their lives, and has helped churches grow.  She has also used her 20 years of experience as a pastor and spiritual director/spiritual life coach to lead classes that merge dog training and spirituality, exploring our deeper selves and our relationship with the world and others through our relationship with our dogs.  In addition to attending conferences and workshops, she apprentices with Linda Brodzik and assists in teaching classes.

For fun, on any given day you may find her kayaking on one of Minnesota’s many lakes, biking through the countryside, hiking through our parks, taking off for a camping trip to the mountains, lugging her photography equipment around in search of the perfect photograph, reading a good book, or getting together with friends.  She is owned by a very energetic German Shorthaired Pointer mix named Jas.

You can read more about Sue on her website:  www.aDeeperSpiritualLife.com.

* One of Sue’s passions is helping churches in times of transition.  She will be leaving us for a while as she travels to Lincoln, Nebraska, to work with Eastridge Presbyterian Church while they prepare to search for a new pastor.
